Bright winter morning sun brings a symphony of shadows.
Shadows are everywhere if we look for them!
I thought this was interesting: deep shadow to the left; shadows dancing on the
table and windowsill, and shadows from the tree outside the window.

I like the fence shadow best.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing through your eyes (lens), Dotsie!! blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteWonderful examples of shadow play, Dotsie. Shadows are everywhere.
ReplyDeleteVery intriguing topic this time. I think we'll see lots of variety. Do you have a favorite? Mine is the first because of the way the clear glass cup and saucer grab the light even though it sits in deep shadow. There's an analogy there!
ReplyDeletethis is just pretty...and I started singing to myself, "me and my shadow"
ReplyDeleteFun post
I really like the phrase "a symphony of shadows" for that's what your post is composed of. This challenge has had me noticing shadows everywhere, too.
ReplyDeleteThe porch railing is my favorite of these! Good eye to include it! These are all terrific examples of how shadows can provide interest to your overall scene.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting collection of shadows! Where was the portico railing taken? Wonderful view!
ReplyDeleteLovely. That railing is my favorite too. The pattern it casts is so rhythmic. It is amazing what you see when you're looking, isn't it!
ReplyDeleteI love the window....the shadows inside and out or so comforting. And it's nice to see the sunshine during the winter. Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteI like them all but the third one is my favorite.

Nice shadow shots. I like the first for the shadows on the table and the view through the teacup.

I love the everyday normal-ness of these shots. It's so easy to take those sunny rays for granted.
ReplyDeleteThose fancy balustrades are casting a really great shadow............but I love the glass cup and saucer, something special about drinking a warming beverage from glass rather than china.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend - Mary
I like the fence shadow. Very nice. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThey are all lovely shots, but the window is especially poignant, for some reason.
ReplyDeleteI always love the window shots Dotsie - the shadows are lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe cup and saucer was a great idea!
I love the bright sunlight you played with here! How smart of you to think of the see-through cup and saucer!
ReplyDeleteIt's very inspiring the way shadows will almost enhance the lighted areas. Nice Pics!
ReplyDeleteAll of your shadow photos are beautiful but my favorite is the tea cup. Love it!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos...You should visit Sunlit Sunday and share them...Have a great day!!!

How clever to incorporate the clear dishes in your shadow shot! But I think I like the fence shot the best. It's a gorgeous view and the pretty shadows are a nice photographic element incorporated into a landscape. Good eye!
ReplyDeleteLove the cup and saucer!! What a cool shot....You did a beautiful job on shadows!!
