Pillow Notes

Creating cards this month took me back to January posts
four years ago. What was I up to in those winter months?
I found a post about covering up old pillows with
tea towels, napkins or odd fabric I had around the house.
I remember it was a lot of fun, but why am I not feeling
that same energy on this cold morning?
We have a blue bedroom in our house that I was
decking out with all these pillows. If you do a search on
this blog for "pillow talk" you will see I was joining a "pillow party" my
friend Rhondiboth in blog and in person, was hosting (yes, we were
blog friends long before we realized we lived only a mile apart.)
I'm smiling most today about finding a theme for the cards in both
color and subject, and getting them uniform looking for a change.
Not that this is necessary, as we only use one card at a time.
And since these cards are square, I hope they come with rectangular
envelopes, otherwise extra postage is required and we don't want that!

I think you may smile too if you visit Vee's Monthly Card Party
You might want to join in the fun.

How amazing is that story of you and your friend, Rhondi! Wish I lived a mere mile away from some of the sweet ladies I've 'met' here in blogland!

  14. Hi Dotsie,

I love what you've done with these pillows -- they're so pretty and creative! I have one of those toile pillows, same color and pattern; I got mine from Country Curtains. Did you make yours? I love the French Country toile. Your first pillow looks so pretty with the big bow; I need to learn how to make these. :)

All your note cards are great, Dotsie. I like having a theme, too, even though it's not necessary. I think I'm kind of OCD that way. :)

Have a wonderful day; I think we'll be much colder here tomorrow.

    Hugs,

    Denise

  24. What creative ways to re-cover pillows. I find the blue toile particularly appealing, but I'd be happy for any of your pillows to grace note cards.

I'm wishing for a little more energy, too.

LOL - great little reminder about size and postage! I just sent a birthday card off to my son and because I tucked a little leather key-chain into the card they charged me $2.06 to send it - now calling the simple envelope and card a "package" - really??

But, your pillows look cool (in blue, white, and gray) and lovely for a January box of cards. And - so nifty to have a blogging friend a block away.
    Joy!

  33. Lucky me! I got two things in one by visiting here. First, I do enjoy your pictures and wouldn't have thought to do that for a note card challenge. I think it's wonderful. Second? I'm currently looking for inspiration for pillows for my den, and I'm looking in the blue family.
So there ya go: Two posts for the time of one. Thanks!
