Up in the city at the church, rain poured forth, but not to affect the wedding party coming and going into the church to practice the ceremony.
Many people knew about all the outdoor-ness of this event, and were praying.
Back out of town at the groom's house, dusk settled in while the music filled the night air and folks consumed delicious food. Twice rain drops fell as softly as I've ever seen them fall. Maybe five drops to a table. Just as if God was saying, "I know, I care, and I'm holding back the rain. It's around, but not here.
After it was over, the rain did fall, gently washing the party remains.
On the Day of the Wedding, the Gardener lost his voice. It didn't help matters, trying to talk at a noisy wedding reception. He had to teach at church the next day. He rested his voice, drank hot herbal tea, while we and others prayed.
The next morning he woke up and sounded some better, but oh so froggy. More hot tea and more prayers. We gathered the class in close, so he could talk softly, but as he taught something wonderful happened. His voice got stronger. He finished teaching at full strength.
P.S. This is my 600th post. Who would have imagined when I tread forth on this venture three years ago I would have found so much to say? Well, there are those who would have imagined so! Still, I can't believe it myself.
Oh I can imagine....and right after your 60th....just add a zero!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos and YES, God hears our prayers and love to love us so we see Him!
