hopeful for the future

"Learn the lesson of thanksgiving. It is due to God, and it's due to ourselves.
Thanksgiving for the past makes us trustful in the present and hopeful for the future.
What He has done is the pledge of what He will do."

Whoever A.C. A. Hall was, he or she said this profound statement long ago, and it speaks to me
today. Not only does a thankful heart help us view life better, but it also gives us hope for
the future. For we see what God has done in the past, and from that learn hope for what lies ahead.

  4. Thank you for sharing this knowledge to carry in my heart today and a beautiful photo to take along as well. Every time I look at a flower, I wonder how there are those who doubt the existence of God.

  6. What a wonderful sentiment to read at the beginning of my day. I do think that thankfulness is paramount -- I try and remember to always thank God first -- before I ask him for that Mercedes and 4 carat diamond. :-P

Oh, my, I also thank God for his sense of humor. I think he must have a mighty good one; he created humans, after all.
