... missing ...

A friend shared with me something
she read recently:

What if I woke up one day and
all I had was what I had thanked
God for yesterday?

  1. This is indeed a very thought provoking post. Something to think about, isn't it?

  2. Wow, that does give one something to think about. We need to be so thankful for all that we have and take for granted and remember to say thank you to God, our provider. Good thought! Blessings, Pamela

  3. Give thanks is ALL things...I love the scene in The Hiding Place, by Corrie ten Boom, where Betsy and Corrie, standing in the dorm of the concentration camp pray, "Thank you for the fleas." One of the most powerful witnesses that I've ever read. Thank you for sharing your friend's comment. Cherry Kay

  4. I'll be asking that question of myself for the next couple of days.

  5. Oh, Dotsie, this one brought me up short! I had a most frustrating day yesterday and pretty much had an ungrateful attitude. I thank you for this reminder to be thankful in ALL things. Sometimes I forget. Thank you again.

  6. That sentence caught my attention....wow, what a thought! I'm glad God's thoughts toward us are more than can be numbered.

  7. Then I would have everything I need. I always start my prayers for thanking God for everything (individually) before moving on to prayer requests. This does make you stop and think though.

Enjoy the rest of your week my friend!

  8. I have been in a very thankful mood lately, so I would be relieved about that! This thought does make me wish to continue feeling gratitude.

Thank you for your congratulations on the birth of our grandson. We are thrilled with the new addition to our family!

  9. Dotsie,

Just a wonderful reminder. I like your previous post as well. I feel like such a work in progress sometimes.

    Have a great day!

  10. So true! This reminds me of an exercise my hubby had to do in a meeting this week. They were given 4 sections, 4 strips of paper each and were told to write down their most valued possessions, people, goals, and personal qualities. They had to mix them all up and keep pulling strips out until there were only 4 left which represented all you had left in life. Because sometimes life ends up like that.
    Thankful for all my blessings!
