the way things catch your eye
You know how you drive along in the countryside and things just catch your eye? Like this place. (By the way, I was disappointed this antique shop was not open, contrary to the sign.)
Or this house. Some of you remember I posted a photo of it earlier this year, as well as a few years ago. I went back this summer when we were in the mountains, just to check on it. Sure enough, it was the same color, Here is a view of the other side of the house. I bet the folks who live inside are a lot of fun!

Um.....a lot or fun, or colour blind........or from a maritime province, where all the houses perched on the cliff edge are brightly painted.
ReplyDeleteThat yellow house is adorable and would catch my eye, too. I remember the purple house- it would catch my eye for all the wrong reasons! LOL
ReplyDeleteI HATE when I stop in a place that has an open sign and it is closed. I went for a take and bake pizza last week and the shop was closed even though it was 15 min. before closing time. I was livid because I had my mind set on their specialty garlic chicken/artichoke pie! aaaggghhhh....
I'd like to go inside the purple house. I agree, the folks must be a lot of fun! The painter who did our kitchen cabinets lives in his grandfather's home (1911) a few blocks from us. It's painted a vivid royal blue.
ReplyDeleteHave a colorful day.
Best,
Bonnie
I like both places! And I think you are right - the people that live in the purple house are probably both fun & interesting!
ReplyDeleteHappy day to you,

That purple house is quite an eyeful! I like the contrast of the bright green door. The good thing about this house is how easy it is to tell people how to find it....just look for the purple house!
ReplyDeleteA lot of things, views and people tend to catch your eye. Your seem to be quite observant, I notice that when you comment too. I bet you are quite the prayer warrior my friend :>)
