lunch along the way

At the end of a spectacular skyway drive through gorgeous mountain top views,
we found ourselves hungry and in a sort of plateau town.
And we came upon the perfect spot for lunch.

There was a lot to look at.   Locals and fellow travelers kept the servers busy.

I looked at the ketchup a second time.

Yup, I saw correctly.  And we did, as we always do.

Back on the road again ...

  1. Now that's what I call a comforting little spot.

    (great photos as usual, too!)

  2. I love a place that serves good food (#1 priority) and then has lots to look at, especially when I'm on the road. You can learn a lot from what's on the walls of a local eatery.

  3. I enjoy stopping in at this very type of restaurant that so tastily welcomes one all over the south. It's great just listening in on the local conversations. For a nation founded on religious freedom, I'm still distressed that our children cannot have a prayer in school!

  4. Hi Dotsie...

My friend, this looks like my kind of place to have lunch! Love the beautiful sign about prayer being welcomed at their table! I am very thankful that our little local school still prays! Some do not like it...but it doesn't seem to stop the prayers!!! Praise the Lord! Our school board still starts each meeting with prayer! When I first moved up north, I was taken aback by all of this! We always consider the south to be the Bible Belt!

It looks like you had a marvelous time, my friend! What did you have for lunch? Hehe! Can't tell I'm hungry right now...can you? Dotsie, I just took a peek at your gorgeous photos of the glass in your last post! They really are amazing, my friend! Beautiful lighting...such lovely color!!! Ohhh...and I love the bluish-green old insulator!

Thanks so much for stopping in and taking a peek at my blue cottage veranda...I really enjoyed your note, sweet lady! I know exactly what you're talking about...living in south Texas for years! I hated all the mold and mildew that the humidity created! It was really hard on a home! I do appreciate the dryness that comes with the Colorado climate...it suits me well! Hope that you're having a wonderful day, my friend!

    Love ya,
