I've learned in studying photos, and in taking photos, that when there's a little red in the picture, it somehow is a better picture.
It's just a sense I have. If you're taking a family photo, be sure someone wears red. I call it the
"red factor."
"red factor."
Somehow the photo seems more alive.
I totally agree, and love your examples. Just told oldest daughter who's growing into a pretty darned good picture-taker. :)
ReplyDeleteYours are wonderful, as usual!
Yes, indeed, red makes the photos more alive. Great pictures.
ReplyDeleteYes!
ReplyDeleteRedoing my basement with LOTS of red!

Sweet Up-North Mornings...
As a lover of red, I would have to agree!
ReplyDeleteI do believe you are right...great pictures!
ReplyDeleteRed is a unifier when there are other colors! Love a red POP in a photo. Lots of famous cinematographers use it to color a black and white scene. Think of the little girls coat in Shindler's List.

How funny! You posted a comment on yesterdays' post and when I come to visit you, I see that you've posted red for the day. Now you have to go back and check mine out as it is all about the red. Our tv room has a lot of it. :) It is amazing how in each photo, our eye is drawn to the pop of red. I am about to go bake some muffins and brownies to go in some of those coffee cans I've decoupaged as tomorrow I am visiting a friend and taking gifts to another. Hope you are having a great day and thanks for stopping by. Many blessings, Tammy
ReplyDeleteOh you're so right! You have to connect to Ruby Tues (see my blog) Your photos are perfect for it.It not too late.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment, you sweet person! I love our connection.
I absolutely agree! And I love red.
ReplyDeleteSo true! You have me looking around for red now. Those trolleys look like the ones I remember from San Diego.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie
The photos are lovely. Are the horses hoofs painted? Just noticed that. And that red transfer ware. I have always wanted those dishes...they look great with the modern granite look don't they.
