still falling
It's still fall here in the south. It's that time of the year when I look up to check the trees ... how many are still green, which ones have turned color, and if there are any clear of leaves yet--contemplating the coming days. There's still a lot of work to do! But we are having ourselves some gorgeous weather here ... how nice to have two beautiful weekends bookending four weekdays of torrential rain!

Pretty Autumn mosaics. We still have some pretty leaves here. I do think there are more on the ground though.
ReplyDeleteHi Ms. Podso, I am a southerner too right in the central part of Ky. Rain is a four letter word here. I love the background on your blog. Stop over for a visit.

Nice to meet you Podso! I'm from the SE also. Most of our leaves have fallen, but still have a few lingering on the trees.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I love your children's etchings on the sidebar. So cute.
I think I have raked up my last leaf for a while, thank heavens. Beautiful mosaics. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOur leaves are barely starting to turn yellow. Soon I know my backyard will be out of control. Gorgeous pictures in your mosaic.

Hi, I'm back again to thank you for stopping by and commenting. Yes...this was the post you inspired. The post about things saved & treasured. I loved the lines in your previous post where you said that there is a thrill in looking and then finding old treasures. Pieces with history who still have enough life in them to make more history in our homes...and they will continue making history long after we are gone. You and I are those kindred spirits I mentioned...lol. Now I've gone and written almost a whole post in your comment section.
ReplyDeleteThanks again!
Lovin your autumn mosaic...wonderful hues of fall!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos to put together as a mosaic! I love your blog dress too! So pretty and festive!

Beautiful leaves!
ReplyDeleteDid you find my window view for the 12 kuvaa? Posted it several days ago. Most of the leaves are still on the tree, and still green too! If I'd waited a few days you would have seen lots of fallen leaves on the lawn across the street though...
It got down to the 40's last night - amazingly! Today sunny and 70.
Lovely mosaics and i love your page background too.
ReplyDeleteThe wind took care of our leaves (thank goodness)- nice mosaic and neat reminder of the fall of 2009! I too like your background.
