The key is finding good profile photos, which is particularly difficult with a baby (I'm trying to make one of Little One). Here's a try at two family members ... a craft in progress, you might say.

I seem to remember my mom taking me to a local department store, when I was a kid, and having someone do my silhouette. Black paper on white.

special scissors help a lot, Got them on sale at Michael's--just detail scissors.
