I helped to give a baby book shower last week. It was the most organized
event I've ever been a part of, and that is no credit to me. Our recipes were
even emailed to us! (And the hydrangeas were painted by the florist. Amazing!)

The food looked and tasted delicious. And the books ... sigh ... wishing we
could have had all of them for our own children.
Nice presentation of everything, I like the little baby head with the soother.

What an excellent idea for a shower. Books aren't outgrown! Yes, I still love to pick up (most of which I had to memorize) my sons' books that are stowed away still. Such sweet memories.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie
Books are the greatest gift - that was a really good shower idea. I'm filing that little fruit 'head' away for future use!
ReplyDeleteA book shower sounds like the nicest thing! Children's books...aahhhh Many opportunities for making memoires...

I just never ever tire of showers of any kind, I just adore them.
ReplyDeleteWe will be having a few coming up on my husband's side - two sisters in law and a first cousin's wife!
Looks like the one you were involved in was quite nice!

ReplyDeleteDecorative and inticing, dear friend!!!
I adore Children's Books!!!
Beginning as an Early Childhood Teacher, I enJOYed reading at least 5 books a day to my pre~schoolers!!!
even now, I have to visit the Children's section of the Book Store!!!
Thank you for reminding us of the joys of the written word through the eyes of a child!
Fondly,
Pat

ReplyDeleteHi Dotsie,
ReplyDeleteThis looks like such a great idea for a baby shower! I'm one of those people who think we can never have too many books. :) I still treasure the books our son got as a baby and all through his growing up years. This was a wonderful thing to do for an expectant mother. Your mosaics are so pretty; I especially love the painted hydrangeas. Wow!
Thanks for your visit and have a wonderful day!
Denise
I love all things baby these days. The new mothers get all kinds of wonderful things that we did not have when our boys were babies. You did a great job. Valerie
