around the house

I scrolled through some past posts of three years ago and pulled photos off to
create cards for Vee's Card Party this month. So the resolution isn't great,
and as you can see I only "eyeballed" the frame colors and sizes in the
photo editing program, so I'm feeling a bit lazy with this post.
One thing that was interesting was to do a search on my blog for "notecards"
and I came up with all the card party posts I've done, just in case
I duplicate myself, which I am sure is always a possibility.
Really, would anyone remember anyway? These notecards are simply themed,
"Around the house."
Go for a visit to Vee's house to see some lovely and
more-creative-than-mine notecards!

  2. These are lovely Dotsie. I like the one of the window and window box. The stack of towels is very graphic in colour and lines. Nice choices. Hugs, Pam

  4. Oh I think that these are very creative indeed. I love note cards and stationery that is geared toward home and all things domestic and what is more satisfying that folded laundry? I have photographed many a pile of laundry (and only dared to share it one time). Your note cards are delightful! And how is it that I'd suddenly very much like a cup of tea. (It's 68F here and a little chilly. I could use some.)

  5. These are terrific. You know, I did the same thing - searching my blog to make sure I didn't duplicate myself. Glad to know I have company, LOL.

  13. You're hoping we don't remember if you duplicate, don't you. :-)
I like this diverse set of note cards and I'm always attracted to window boxes because one sees so few of them here.
Of course I love the tea note card, you can send a hello on that one to me.

  15. I don't see anything lazy about this post. Lovely. I'm thinking a little sentiment on the towels, "takin' a break"

  17. Lovely images. I wonder, too, if I duplicate myself, especially with this last one. But I was in a bit of a hurry and didn't check. Now I don't want to.
There's something so warming about a cup of tea - even an image conveys the pleasure.

  23. I like how you put the boarders around the photos, it really gives a good idea of how they would look as notecards. All your photos are so welcoming and cozy.

  28. Since "around the house" is my absolute favorite place to be, I would love to have a set of your note cards! Each one is home-y and welcoming in its own way.

  29. I think your note cards are just right Dotsie. Around the house is a pretty good place to be, actually. :)

I love that we can see the pretty glass bottle inside your window in the first picture. And I REALLY love the last photo of the sliced orange. The combination of orange and blue is so pretty! I can barely see the blue and white stripe of the tablecloth, and your knife with the Delft handle is lovely. Good choices for note cards!

I hope you have a great day Dotsie!

    Hugs,

    Denise

  31. Such great photos of simple subjects - it's so easy to "overlook" the beauty in ordinary everyday things, isn't it? Simple is always best!

  33. Your photo choices are perfect for note cards. I especially love the orange still life.

I have not participated in the note card again because life has been a whirlwind. I never realized that caring for an infant would be so time consuming--lol--I guess I forgot those days when my children were born. I am enjoying every minute of it, however.
