blue and white

My favorite color is green. But I love, love, love blue. Especially blue with white.
I should make it my favorite color, but it runs a close second.
The Gardener found these egg cups at Good Will.
He has such an eye and knows my love for all things Delft and Dutch.
He brought the hanging blue teacups and saucers home from Romania in his
suitcase in a box, barely secured with wrapping, and they made it. I still marvel.
And the little salt and pepper holder is also from Romania, but I brought that.
It's wood so no fear of breaking there!.

  3. I love blue and white too, Dotsie. Delft, Blue Willow and all the lovely Danish blue porcelain. It makes me feel somehow cosy to see a shelf full of blue and white. I've developed a love for red transfer ware too and it gives me the same feeling.

  4. Blue is my favorite color, Dotsie. Paired with white, it's unbeatable. Your collection of blue and white is beautiful - especially the deeply colored Romanian teacups and saucers. How great that they made the long trip home safely.

  7. So pretty!

The Gardener did a great job finding those for you!

I love the way blue and white looks together but never end up using it in decor. I do have some Spode Blue Room tea cups found at a yard sale!

  9. A very pretty blue vignette Dotsie!
I can imagine your amazement that the china arrived home intact! On trips to the airport I've watched how suitcases are thrown onto the aircraft.....
Love the Delft egg cups - there's something about windmills!

  14. The blue and white vignette you created is lovely Dotsie. I must check out our Goodwill store in the big town nearby, usually I only visit the antique barn.
