What We Give Away

My grandmother was quite a writer, and when I found this recently in her handwriting,
I was pretty sure she wrote it herself. Either way, it was nice to find,
and make into a valentine card.
"In this is love, not that we have loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son ..."
 Happy Valentine's Day!

  5. Dotsie, I couldn't imagine a more perfect Valentine's Day card (or treasure) than finding that writing by your grandmother. And, handwritten!! Then cards made. The wisdom exhibited in her writing has clearly been passed down. Happy Valentine's Day! Hope yours is filled with lots of love and delight! blessings ~ tanna

  7. How lovely. Jim Elliot must have read that somewhere when he penned his words in Shadow of the Almighty.

    Happy Valentine's Day.

  14. What a beautiful treasure! You should frame it and display it every valentine's Day.

My Mom's favorite poet was Edgar A Guest and she re-wrote many of his poems..I am finding them in many of her papers. It is a pleasure seeing which ones touched her heart.
