I read somewhere recently this quote by Albert Camus:
"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower."
"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower."
of transition and transformation. Beauty and wonder are around every corner."
This is my favorite neighborhood view, and it's around the corner from our house where
I walk or drive almost every day. The de-leafed tree on the left is the first to show color
and my sign that fall is approaching. I'm not sure why it's always so far ahead of the rest.
Such beauty! (and enhanced by the recyle cans! LOL).
How beautiful!! It seems it isn't until the leaves change colors that we realize all the different trees we have! It looks like you live in a wonderful neighborhood!

Isn't autumn amazing! Just heard on the weather report that we are moving into peak color. Sadly, it will be all gone in a few weeks.
ReplyDeleteI won't be too sad though as I like all seasons and the changes they bring.
Lovely! We've had a beautiful autumn around here. Alas, the leaves had already peaked and were on the decline when I was in Roanoke.

Beautiful! Love the array of colors. Maybe you've heard this before but someone once told me that the trees to receive the most sunlight, turn first. Maybe that tree gets more direct sunlight than the others.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful place to take a stroll!
So pretty. I didn't see anything in Virginia that made me want to grab my camera. When I mentioned it to a friend, she said that's the way it had been. Some trees were bare, some green, and a lot of yellow.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are lovely.
Brian and I were just talking about how much we enjoyed that neighborhood. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! I love the quotes, also. I love Fall, it has been so lovely and pleasant here.

Podso,
ReplyDeleteAmazing that the trees are their most beautiful just before they go dormant for the Season! Recycle cans...real life!
Fondly,
Pat

ReplyDeleteHi Podo
ReplyDeleteI've always liked that quote. The end of the street is certainly ablaze with colour and it's nice to see your trees now that ours are finished.

Yes, the trees are quite gorgeous! Wouldn't it be something if we could keep them like this for say...3 months? would we want to? =)
ReplyDeleteThe colors are so beautiful and pleasing to the eye. I was just photographing some fallen autumn leaves on my cracked cement driveway yesterday...our first real bit of autumn here in Southern California.
