shame on us

The Gardener and I were up doing business on the north side of town and finally
got to visit a popular French bakery that
we hear so much about. Before I got inside the door, the curtains on the glass doors told me I'd love it.
Shame on our indulgence, but such a French pastry who can resist? At least we shared it!
I loved, loved the table we sat at ... it had a built-in tablescape. Am I the only one who
would get confused and keep trying to pick up the fork? Well I did. It got embarrassing!
So much to look at. A visual, creative feast for the eyes. And open 24/7.
Cozy. "Paris Shabby Chic."
I found it so interesting to look at all the lamps they had built. A sharp eye will find some here and there.

  6. What an adorable place, and how cool for your husband to indulge you both. LOVE the silverware/dishes on the table...decoupage-like.

    Wonderful. :)

How wonderful to take the time to have an indulgence with your hubby! The decor of this shop is magnificient! While you were enjoying the lamps, I was taking in the gallery of art on the wall! Thank you for taking us along on your excursion!

  11. Hi Podso
Looks like an interesting place to share sweets with your hubby. I'm sure I would be trying to pick up the utensils from the tablescape scene too, they look so realistic.

  14. That does look like a fabulous place. Wow! 24-7 -- they must have folks coming there for all sorts of reasons if they can stay open all the time. Nice play to hang out. The lamps are cool and the painted table is wonderful. Always nice to share a scrumptious dessert. :) Hope your day is great. Tammy

  18. I say hooray for you!! No shame at all... just kindly appreciating those folks hard work in the kitchen. We all know a cook needs that kind of thing and y'all were just doing your part! ;) I'm thinking I would have enjoyed this little visit... and, I'm not sure I would have shared. hee hee. blessings ~ tanna

  19. My daughter and sister in law LOVE Amalies. I have plans to go the next time we visit Amber. Would this not be a great venue for a shower, or a tea? Thanks for the images. Now I can't wait to go!
