During Youngest's celebration banquet I slipped away for a moment,
as this window was calling me.
Then a newly discovered window in an old house.
Sometimes the beauty of a window is more the outdoor scene it frames.
And sometimes it's the window itself.
Lovely! photo by proud mother and high-heel wearer!!

I'd say these windows qualify for BOTH themselves and the scenes beyond! I can see why you heard them calling your name! blessings ~ tanna

Hi...thanks for visiting my blog and your very nice comment about my porch. The window in front of the green sofa is divine by the way! You had asked about my painted fireplace. It's almost a year old and looks the same as the day it was painted. We have fires all winter too. The only place that gets dirty is the ledge in front of the doors...and only because my dog jumps up there quite often. It comes clean with Clorox Clean Up in about 2 seconds.
ReplyDeleteI so wish we would have painted that room years ago. We lived in the brown hole for way too long! I highly recommend going for it and painting yours! Have a great week...~~Ann
They are all beautful windows! Congratulations to your youngest on their wonderful achievements!
ReplyDeletePodso,
ReplyDeleteLovely window!
I have two old windows from "Mr.Ed's" family farm house. One I gave to my daughter~in~law. She turned hers upright like it hung in the house and put a mirror behind it! Ours is turned sideways and is on top of our entertainment center in the living room...missing panes, chippy paint and all! Thanks for sharing this post about windows!
Fondly,
Pat
