A favorite thing to do at my sister's is head to the beach in time to watch a sunset.
Apparently we aren't the only ones who come for the show.
It'd be more romantic to say those are lights from fishing vessels in the distance,
but it's really just dredging to bring more sand to eroding beaches.

My favorite is the top left one!! Joyful and content! Beautiful sunset. Beautiful photos and mosaics!
ReplyDeleteYes, Dotsie, there was lots of old paint and just plain dirt and grime on those old windows. The Old Girl is shining now! ;)
These are gorgeous pictures. There is something mesmerizing about a setting sun on water isn't there? Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteThe sunset is the Greatest Show on Earth - especially off the coast here.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunset...funny, when I was a little girl my sister and I would spend a few weeks with my grandparents in Tampa. I look at the "old folks" sitting in their beach chairs and realize that today that would be me!

In summer when my husband and I go camping it seems every night at about dusk the people in the campsite all move towards the beach with the camera and a chair to watch the sunset. What a lovely way to end the day. Wonderful. V

Beautiful! You have me missing the beach. :)
ReplyDeleteI like your idea of keeping a bird journal. There are so many bird songs/calls that I hear, but have not learned who they belong to yet. It will be a fun hobby.
Wishing you a lovely week, Dotsie!

Even dredging lights look romantic at night...as do the oil refinery lights around here...much lovelier at night than in the daytime! Your sunset is gorgeous.

I love this post for its contrast to my little part of the world. Here, my husband and I visit the beach (on Lake Michigan's east coast) to watch the moon rise when its full.
