do you make lists?

When the grandees were over one day in December I started a list
of things we might like to do. (Not so) Little One picked up the
white board immediately and added to the list, including a couple of things
that would not be on mine. She then grabbed it up as we went from
one thing to the next, being sure to check off each completed activity.

Here's the list: read, color, snack, watch TV (not), cook dinner (did not get to that),
eat candy canes (not), puzzles, tea party, listen to music, rings (figure out a game
to play with canning jar rings).

She's about all things school now, but I think her mom is also a list maker.
I got this idea from a friend who arrived at her granddaughter's house
and was met with a white board list of things her granddaughter
was hoping to do during Grandma's visit. I loved the idea.
Bev said her daughter in law is an avid list maker.
I thought we'd try to take a picture.
Little Brother has a sense of humor!

  1. So cute, Dotsie! I am going to take that idea with me when I go back to Edmonton. I think the big boys would love a list that they could add to. I'm a list maker. I'm always amused to come across and old list - did I get it all done/bought/cleaned?

  4. What a great idea! My grands are a little small as of yet, but I will store this idea away for future visits. Not very long now the way time flies!

  5. This IS a great idea....maybe that way I'll get to do some of the things I want to do if we take turns doing what's on my granddaughter's list and what's on mine. Did you say that Little One wrote the rest of that list? How old is she?! I thought she as only 2 or 3 at the most. I love her inventive spelling, but I needed your translation to figure out what some of the activities were. :-)

  7. I love the "lison to musick" line. I'm a list maker and a checker offer myself.

  12. There's no sitting around at your place! What a great idea. I'm filing this one away for a year or two. I make lists for myself all the time.

  15. Oh! So cute!! It melts my heart to see those To Do's! I used to make lists and actually follow them. Now I simply lose them! Ha! Sometimes...just things I know I will forget...like get gas or paper towels. The obvious.

  16. I'm a list maker too. I know someone who, if they do something that is not on their list, they add it to the list and then check it off. Makes them feel more productive.
