When the grandees were over one day in December I started a list
of things we might like to do. (Not so) Little One picked up the
white board immediately and added to the list, including a couple of things
that would not be on mine. She then grabbed it up as we went from
one thing to the next, being sure to check off each completed activity.
Here's the list: read, color, snack, watch TV (not), cook dinner (did not get to that),
eat candy canes (not), puzzles, tea party, listen to music, rings (figure out a game
to play with canning jar rings).
She's about all things school now, but I think her mom is also a list maker.
I got this idea from a friend who arrived at her granddaughter's house
and was met with a white board list of things her granddaughter
was hoping to do during Grandma's visit. I loved the idea.
Bev said her daughter in law is an avid list maker.
I thought we'd try to take a picture.
Little Brother has a sense of humor!
So cute, Dotsie! I am going to take that idea with me when I go back to Edmonton. I think the big boys would love a list that they could add to. I'm a list maker. I'm always amused to come across and old list - did I get it all done/bought/cleaned?
ReplyDeleteNice try Little One!! What a good idea.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie
I love this idea, Dotsie! I am pretty sure my little ones will enjoy the list AND the crossing off the list! And, like you, I'm sure there will be a few on those lists that are a no go! LOL! Little Brother is a clever little guy! =) thank you for this! blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! My grands are a little small as of yet, but I will store this idea away for future visits. Not very long now the way time flies!
ReplyDeleteThis IS a great idea....maybe that way I'll get to do some of the things I want to do if we take turns doing what's on my granddaughter's list and what's on mine. Did you say that Little One wrote the rest of that list? How old is she?! I thought she as only 2 or 3 at the most. I love her inventive spelling, but I needed your translation to figure out what some of the activities were. :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd not one chore on the list!
ReplyDeleteI love the "lison to musick" line. I'm a list maker and a checker offer myself.
ReplyDeleteI do make lists but have never done that one...what a great idea! I love it that they took over the white board...lol!
ReplyDeleteI am not a list maker, but this is a great idea! Love her spelling! So sweet to see she had ideas of fun stuff to do as well!
ReplyDeleteDeanna
That's a great list! Obviously, they keep you hopping. (I sometimes write lists, but often do not refer back to them.)
ReplyDeleteI make lists but seldom to they include the fun things you had listed!!! Well done!! Cathy
ReplyDeleteThere's no sitting around at your place! What a great idea. I'm filing this one away for a year or two. I make lists for myself all the time.
ReplyDeleteYup, I'm a list maker, usually for hubby but this is a good idea for the grands! I like the added 'eat candy canes'!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I love making lists, too. Can I come and play....and watch tv and eat candy canes? heehee! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOh! So cute!! It melts my heart to see those To Do's! I used to make lists and actually follow them. Now I simply lose them! Ha! Sometimes...just things I know I will forget...like get gas or paper towels. The obvious.

LOL, so cute! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a list maker too. I know someone who, if they do something that is not on their list, they add it to the list and then check it off. Makes them feel more productive.
ReplyDeleteRhonda above described the way I used to be ... At work and at home! But I'm retired now. I loved your grands' additions to your list. Fun!
ReplyDeleteI love it, love it! Our little baby just went home. We'll miss him. Thanks for stopping by today and leaving an encouraging note.
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet! I love the printing and mis-spelling and you've documented it with a photo keepsake. It's a great idea!
ReplyDeletePodso,
