Timeless thoughts of a winter’s stare;
Eyes glazing over a landscape bare …
from Michael Barron's
A Winter’s Epiphany
A few days away from suburbia.
Quiet expanses to gaze upon.
Take a deep breath.
Restoring.
Sometimes I forget to take a deep breath.
Do you?
Oh my gosh Podso the pictures are just so beautiful, love them, even though it was hard to get my eyes off the pink cookies, but once I did the pictures were too pretty...
ReplyDeleteThese pictures took my breath away. They are so much of what I see in Michigan in the summer and I miss it so. You have a new header and I love it too.
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Sometimes that's exactly what's needed!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos!

Just looking at these photos of peace and tranquility made me slow down and take a deep breath. We all need those times of respite and restoration - I'm hoping you will return feeling well.
ReplyDeleteIndeed I do forget! I love my life of home and routine and the day-to-day. So much, in fact, that I sometimes don't realize when I need a deep breath of refreshment.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scenery always make me stop and take a breath. We are fortunate to live where we do and take a morning beach walk. The view always makes me stop and savor the moment.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photography of a lovely location.
I just love your "sweet" new header! The winter shots are lovely too...every season has it's own unique beauty, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteA lovely spot to pause and refresh yourself. I need that pause as well.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie
WOW!!!!!!!! Those pictures are wonderful and yes..I took a deep breath. I need to do that more often, and I too will drive away from the crowded houses to see the country side.
ReplyDeleteThanks
Beautiful scenes...calming...do I forget to take a breath? All too often!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos! I do sometimes forget to breathe. A LOT, actually. I get so caught up with things, and so busy, that I get to going too fast! I am frustrated with the fact that I simply cannot do what I used to do. I am feeling my age, I am afraid. And now must MAKE myself sit and rest!

I like these scenes and how much they resemble my recent ones only minus the snowy landscape. Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the reminder to take a deep breath and to notice what lies off in the distance.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I really do!

Podso,
ReplyDeleteI'm wired for multi~tasking and constantly on the go! After surgery this past Autumn, I feel as if I'm MONTHS behind!!!
That being said, even the Tai Chi Instructor tells me to "slow down". "Mr. Ed" smiles and quietly says, "That'll never happen". BUT, ocassionally, I stop and smell the roses. . . and at times, I exhale!!!
Thank you for this beautiful photographic reminder, dear friend!!!
fondly,
Pat
so good for the brain...really...lovely sentiment of winter
ReplyDeleteOh, Dotsie... I NEEDED those words... and the beautiful images you captured made that deep breath become a sigh of contentment. Thank you. blessings ~ tanna

ReplyDeleteLeann
BTW - Love your new header!!
Such beautiful images, Dotsie - they are like that deep breath.
ReplyDeleteYes, I often forget to breathe deeply and then I end up with my shoulders right up under my ears.
This is why I love where I live so much...and it is amazing how good nature is at restoring our souls, isn't it!
ReplyDeleteDotsie, I do so love this landscape!! It's beautiful in its winter starkness and so restful. Yes, I do forget to take a deep breath -- thanks for the reminder. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with us!
Hugs,
Denise
These winter pictures are so serene. I find that I love Spring, Summer, and Autumn but there's a serenity to Winter that quite beautiful. Thanks for sharing, wish you a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteMore and more, now that I am retired, I am allowing myself to take a deep breath and relax.
