My friend Jane lives on a farm. Occasionally she will send me a photo showing the beauty of
her surroundings. You can see the mailboxes across from her house on my sidebar.
These two photos show the beautiful mist of a spring morning that she
photographed yesterday. Lovely irises and "snowball hydrangeas."

Jane's rural area and irises are pretty, and a welcome sight for spring.

Beautiful...I noticed the mist right away. The kind you only see in wide open places. Love that!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Jane has a beautiful garden and I have always liked that photo of the mail boxes. My iris are just up about 6 inches. The weather is perfect. I love a misty foggy spring morning with a promise of sunshine later in the day. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteJane has a wonderful eye for photography and some wonderful subjects!
ReplyDeleteI do love hyrangeas, Wish I could grow them.
ReplyDeleteMerle.
White flowers, green, green grass and weathered buildings make for wonderful photos.
ReplyDeleteKudos to Jane for her photos! Her place is charming!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos!!

ReplyDeleteJust lovely! :) A true cottage garden! :)
ReplyDeleteJane's garden looks so inviting. Iris are a staple in my garden. Take care and enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteYour friend's farm has beautiful sorroundings, wow! The flowers are amazing too. Beautiful spring images, dear Podso! The square things you bought were probably 'ponchos' and not shawls, as they're long with fringes mostly. Thanks for your visit. Hugs,

Your pretty Snowball bush is actually a Viburnum, not a hydrangea. The white irises and snowball blooms against the verdant green is so lovely!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos by your friend Jane!
ReplyDeleteIt is not spring here as yet--we had more snow yesterday! I won't complain after seeing the fires in Southern California. This late spring sow will hopefully prevent that from happening in Colorado any tie soon!
Beautiful flowers to see! We only have a few such as tulips and hyacinths blooming!
ReplyDeleteYour friend's hydrangeas and irises are so beautiful in the mist. She certainly has an eye for a lovely arrangement.
ReplyDeleteWhat a very nice farm and lovely irises.
ReplyDeletePodso,
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photography!
The barn photo with the irises reminds me of my in~laws farm!!!
Fondly,
Pat
Oooh that bed of white iris is wonderful. I had some like it in my old garden which had a very delicate fragrance - I miss them now!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful barn and I've always admired the letterboxes on your side bar Dotsi - now I know where they belong!
A very lovely Spring post.

I love your new header and these pictures are wonderful...how refreshing, peaceful and beautiful
ReplyDeleteLovely garden photos. The barn reminds me of the one on my grandparent's farm. Thanks for the visit and the nice comment about my spring flowers. New follower on GFC! Hope you'll consider following back.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see all the blooms in your part of the world. It gives us a taste of what's to come. I like your idea of having a guest blogger and might use some of the wonderful pictures my sister sends me from my hometown one day.
ReplyDeleteLovevely photos White flowers are just gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
