We are expecting a big (for the south) snow mid week. I looked at the weather map and it seems many places are expecting snow at the same time. Meanwhile, photos from a year ago this time when things were quite warm and sunny as we took a ferry headed south.

  1. What a difference a year makes on any given date. We are to also get some snow and freezing rain mix Tuesday.

  2. Are these warm ferry photos to give you enough warmth and comfort to make it through your big snow?

Cheer up - - - sometimes (often) the weathermen are WRONG and your snow only lasts a couple of days, so it's all snowy good!

  7. Was it a year ago from now when we had that heat wave? I remember it well and was hoping we'll have another this year to get rid of the snow.
    Spring will come soon...

  9. Oh that's right...spring was early last year. It probably won't be this. Isn't the water and light on the water lovely?!

  12. Last mid-March we had a heat wave which is very rare for us. I don't expect the same this March but it sure would be nice. If you are getting snow then we'll probably be on the tail end of it and get some too. Oh well. It'll soon be done. Great mosaics of a warmer March. I hope you don't get too much snow!

  14. I want to hop right on that ferry, it looks wonderful. Your photographs are beautiful. I hope that the weather isn't too terrible. It's hard to believe that when Spring arrives or Summer we reminisce about snow.

  18. I love a ferry ride! It seems like a grand adventure, maybe because a ferry is not commonplace these days. Your pictures make me want to come along...

  24. Nice mosaic of greenery and water, I so long for the greenery. Looks like spring is still afar off for most of us. It has snowed all day long here, we will have gotten only about six inches of the white stuff, but I am longing for blue skies, warm sun and green grass.
