in the round

Georgetown, South Carolina's third oldest city, contains the Stewart-Parker house, built in 1740.
George Washington had tea here during his southern tour in 1791. Sometime after the president's
visit a new addition was put on the street side of house including these semi circular rooms.
This side is a marvelous dining room!
The house now is used for weddings and other special events.

  2. That looks like a great house. Love the round room. So many possibilities - and of course I like the porch (which isn't round, but I love porches!) :-) I follow you via Feedly.

  3. A nice old home, but wonder why they chose the half round shape for the addition. It is unique though. I remember seeing a round house years ago and would have loved to see the inside. Two stories and totally round from the outside!

Such a beautiful home! I have always loved round rooms!

When is your new grandbaby due, Dotsie? Soon, I think. Our little Katie is still in the NICU - her score is too low, so they are going to keep her there for at least another week. I just keep whispering loving thoughts to her across the miles.

    Happy Spring, dear friend!
