What a treat! A whole day together ("Not-so-Little-Anymore" had a half day of
school and then joined us). From marble races, to helping grandpa, to discovering daddy's
old skateboard, to coloring while "talking" to mom on the old phone,
to reading chapters of Narnia, to time at the playground
and learning to balance, to tea parties and matchbox cars … the day was incredibly full …
and at least one of us slept really well that night!
Can you guess who?

What a sweet collection of photos of your grands. That looks like such a fun day and I think I'd be tired out along with the little miss. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, sweet times. I love how busy they were all day. I like the one of your grand on the 'old' phone! So cute!

ReplyDeleteMake that JOY instead of 'not'. Sigh.
DeleteWonderful day with the grands. It can be exhausting, but so very much fun!
ReplyDeleteThat is how to enjoy summer and what I am hoping to bring back for myself...just a sense of awe, wonder and spontaneous play...and I am a Crocs lover....I have several pairs but love the bright pink....I may need a new pair now.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really fun stage of life with the grands, isn't it? Busy yes but so eager to try, and learn new things.
ReplyDeleteYears ago when I babysat the twins and their brother (think 2 yr old x 2 and a 4 yr old) I'd get into bed, lay flat on my back and never move until morning.
Now that the youngest ones are 8 and 11, they know what 'cap nap' is and not to disturb grandma. :-)
Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday Dotsie.
