Another month gone by. Another batch of memories added to the bank.
The month began with celebrating birthdays--mine and our sons.
Then a wonderful sister visit and traveling to visit our brother and his family.
A mini mountain vacation for the Gardener and I.
Something about cooler mountain air is so refreshing and restful.
We had no big agenda.
My friend's back to school brunch was a big success. Even with our warm
temperatures we can detect a change coming in the weather.
A brown leaf hints at the change, and reminds us that seasons come and go.
The cycle of life, the faithfulness of God.
Wonderful times with the grandies and grateful for a thoughtful
daughter in law who remembers "who gave what." Littlest One arrived at my
house for the birthday party all decked out in a vintage cotton party dress
I bought for her at an antique shop.
So cute.
I've given up on sharp images for she is constant motion.
I'm joining Cheryl at Thinking About Home for her thoughtful
It looks like lots of lovely memories were put in the bank during this month of August!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to you, Dotsie...and to your son! Are those birthday table settings in the first collage? They are such beautiful tables! I especially love the pink one, with the delicate china, the print napkins, and the blessing from Numbers.
A visit with your sister and your brother, a getaway to the mountains with your husband...all good ways to bank those memories.
Your daughter-in-law is very thoughtful to be sure that you get to see the grands wearing gifts that you have given. And doesn't Littlest One look darling in that sweet little dress?!
Thanks for sharing your "moments" with us again this month! It is always a treat!
Oh that little grand and her vintage dress are adorable. I remember the days of sports settings on all the time.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, yes, always the reminders that life is lived one day at a time and it requires moving forward. A lovely new month to you.
Hi Dotsie, yes fall is definitely in the air up here as well. I can't believe August is nearly gone. It's been such a busy month and filled with many good things. I love your granddaughter's sweet vintage dress. Just adorable. Blessings. Pam
ReplyDeleteYes, another month nearly gone! Cute photos and how nice of your daughter in law to dress your little sweet pea in the dress you bought her.

The dress on that lil darlin' is gorgeous - what a cutie pie she is!!
Mountain air clears the mind of clutter, I think! Your little granddaughter is precious! I, too, have so many blurry pictures of my grandsons, and pictures of their backs. One of them, however, loves to take selfies so I have a good number of those that he will let me take with him. They are in constant motion. Have a blessed September!

ReplyDeleteA lovely birthday tablescape and littlest one is pretty in her antique dress. Fall is definitely in the air here...
ReplyDeleteI was in the church nursery this morning and had 4 little girls around 3-4. Such fun, we had tea parties and sang head and shoulders with the antics. Truthfully, I was in my glory!
What a beautiful table! And you've captured the sense of autumn is in the air with your photos ~ enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteYour granddaughter is walking! Soon she'll be having tea parties with you. That is such a cute dress. You've given me an idea. I will find special dresses for Olivia June and me to wear when we have our tea parties! I found her a straw hat at a yard sale this weekend for when she gardens with me....I already found a pretty apron. :-) I love those dishes in the first photo. What are they called?
ReplyDeleteThat little party dress is so sweet and she is adorable! Love that tunnel and your views of a small town. Making memories....always the best of times! Sweet hugs, Diane
