For Vee's party I've found four window views from previous posts. Windows are a
favorite of mine ... is it because I'm a curious person, or could it be ... that they show
me there's more to life than we initially view. Whether it's looking in a window,
or looking out, or reflections in the glass of what's
behind us, windows reveal another whole world!
behind us, windows reveal another whole world!
I do agree. Reflections in windows were lost on me until I started photographing a few windows. It was a bit surprising to see what was going on inside and outside of those windows.
ReplyDeleteYou are in my thoughts and prayers.
Best,
Bonnie
Good morning! I'm sipping tea and browsing blogs and you just popped up!
ReplyDeleteYour window pics are a really great idea for notecards, and would be something fun to "collect" when you travel or visit.
I'm working this morning, but when I get home I'll join the fun at Vee's. Have a blessed day ~
Oh yes, I do agree. I remember when we lived on the Dutch border, and I'd often walk my baby through the neighbourhoods, enjoying the way homeowners in that part of the Netherlands decorated their windows with lace curtains, plants and special pieces of china - one was meant to look and enjoy!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely agree, Dotsie. Perspective. Changes everything. blessings and hugs ~ tanna
ReplyDeletePodso,
ReplyDeleteTotally!!!
Fondly,
Pat
Love the photos and the thoughts!
ReplyDeleteIt seems we both look in and look out in life. A balance is best. I love these window photos - I'm always fascinated by the cropped view a window offers.
ReplyDeletethinking of you, praying for you
Great window views Dotsie. They are all beautiful and I really like the china cabinet. Blessings to you. Pamela

I love windows, too. Things look so different -- looking in or out! Surprises!
ReplyDeleteLove your window photos. They would make great note cards.
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree. There's nothing much more intriguing than a window or an open door. I can tell that you are "taken" with windows by the way you photograph them.
ReplyDeleteGreat series for cards! One of my favorite things is sitting on my porch in the summer and looking in to my house ... And I always peek through to see "home" through the window before pushing the door open when I cone home from work in the evening! Love your cards!
ReplyDeleteI agree about the windows! Lovely shots.
ReplyDeletea very thought provoking...thought
ReplyDeletePretty pics! I would love that hydrangea view:@)

Hi Dotsie, yes, it is the same Amy...and I've been reading you all along and feeling so connected as you walk this path with your Mom. I treasured your companionship as my Mom was dying, and I hold you in my heart now. Blessings.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely agree! This is a clever post. I like to take photos of windows and doors because I'm always interested what might be within. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI also love all kinds of window views, Dotsie.
ReplyDeleteI've been away for so long due to our move -- I hope your Mom has been peaceful as she awaits her journey to heaven. I have kept you both in my prayers. {{ hugs}}
These are clever!
ReplyDeleteI really like the first two...tea cups and hydrangea - two of my favorites!

I do love these window views, as I enjoy a glimpse in or out of a window too! Have you ever turned your car around for a second look when you passed by an intriguing window? :)
ReplyDeleteLovely note cards...and continuing to pray for your family...
Your window views are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI agree! I adore windows and doors, photographing them regularly. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteOh, just lovely! I love the one with the tea things.
ReplyDeleteI am very fond of window pictures, inside and out. They always tell a story. These are lovely.
ReplyDeleteFunny how multi panes window draw us more than big picture window do. Wonder why that is?
ReplyDeleteThanks for allowing me to peek in too.
I loved looking INTO your china hutch. What pretty things! Thanks for sharing. ~Sally
ReplyDeleteI agree! The windows make beautiful cards.
ReplyDeleteI love photos of window views, too! And one of my cards is a window view. I have a window in my kitchen that I am always taking photos of...and out! Your cards would be perfect for me!
ReplyDeleteI love those shots - especially the hydrangea one!
ReplyDeleteHope that you are doing ok.
Hugs

I do agree and love the various views you've shared today. i always enjoy driving by houses that have their lights on and their drapes open. it offers a glimpse into the lives of those who live in such homes.
ReplyDeleteLovely window views. I'm getting a lot of good ideas for the next notecard party!
ReplyDeleteOh yes and I agree too - especially through quarterpane windows.
ReplyDeleteDoors are favourites of mine too - the mystery of what's behind.
I found on my walks in France most windows are shielded with cafe type curtains - a real let down for an inquisitive like me.
Here in New Zealand we are much more transparent - our curtains are thrown back at the beginning of the day!
I would buy the card with a peep into your china cupboard holding such pretty treasures - my friends would love to receive a card like that too!

Beautiful note cards, Podso.
ReplyDeleteYour previous post brought tears to my eyes. Prayers for you and your mom. His will be done.
The first requirement when choosing a house (well maybe not the first but it was certainly up there) was beautiful (and many) windows...
ReplyDeleteLove your 'note cards'!
Blessings, Debbie
