In random order:
1. Breakfast.
2. Coffee
3. Time for reflection and prayer as a new day begins.
4. Checking on the garden in coolish morning air.
5. And then a more vigorous walk around the neighborhood.

Mornings are my favorite time of day.
They offer the opportunity for fresh starts, new projects,
renewed energy and endless possibilities.
Morning is my favorite time of day also. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteI am a mornings person too feeling at my most energetic and looking forward to what the day brings. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI am a morning person too, Dot - and I love your five - got up at 5am today and watched the sun come up - love coolness and solitude and quiet.
ReplyDeleteHave some good news I just posted - sorry I have been so absent. Have a safe and wonderful holiday weekend. Hugs.
I am not a morning person (never have been)...I am up, but I slowly ease into my day. That said, I do enjoy a slow, easy morning and a fresh start. And coffee, of course. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds perfect to me, as it is so much like my routine, thanks for sharing,
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sue
I am and always have been a morning person. Best part of the day for sure. Have a nice 4th!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I am not a morning person. I do, however, like the quiet now that I don't have to hop about getting ready for work! I got up really early this week camping and it was kind of nice to sit and listen to nature early in the morning.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend
Oh this is a lovely post, although I am not a morning person, I can appreciate its advantages ha! Your breakfast looks delicious. Have a lovely weekend xx
ReplyDeleteI love early morning, especially with coffee and a comfy chair outdoors. You have a nice place to walk!
ReplyDeleteYour breakfast reminds me of Elmo. Morning person here.
ReplyDeleteFive great ways to begin a new day!
ReplyDeleteYour mornings are a wonderful way to start the day! Especially the time in the cool morning air, that is lovely in the summer isn't it! Thank you for joining in with Five On Friday. I hope you have a fun weekend! xx
ReplyDeleteSounds like a very nice way to start the day!
ReplyDeleteYep, we're sisters alright...morning time is my favorite! Your breakfast looked delicious and I've always been a fan of white wicker. And that walk you took looks most peaceful. Enjoy your July 4th weekend, friend!
ReplyDeleteVery nice morning indeed with all the best elements! Blessings and Happy 4th to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteLike your morning pictures. I'm afraid that I've never been much of a morning person, much more of a night owl.
ReplyDeleteI'm a morning person too Dotsie, out early for a half hour walk with the dog, water the outdoor container plants and back inside to have coffee with hubby. Mornings that are not too cool, we have coffee on the deck.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy 4th of July.
I like the way your day began so gently, walking about in the early morning checking how my garden grows and feeding the birds is how I ease myself into the day here in Normandy.
ReplyDeletebon weekend.
I am a morning person. Love your breakfast photo xxxx
ReplyDeleteOne of the things I love most about retirement is that I can enjoy the morning. We get up when we feel like, leisurely eat breakfast, read the news and decide what we will do that day.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend.
I love your reflective post on mornings, Dotsie. I really wish I was a morning person, but alas, I'm not. In the summer, it's so much easier to get things done before the real heat of the day kicks in. I am with you on the coffee!! ;) I really depend on my coffee to jump start my day. Your pictures are so pretty -- love your pink petunias!
ReplyDeleteHappy Fourth to you and your family, Dotsie!!
Hugs,
Denise
What a lovely start to your day, Dotsie. Your breakfast omelet looks delicious on your lovely porch. The white wicker chairs are a wonderful place to begin morning devotions. Such a pretty lane to enjoy a walk. Your peaceful morning is inspiring. ♥
ReplyDeleteYour five good things about morning are some of my favorite things about morning. I don't drink coffee every day, but I especially love the smell of it first thing in the morning. Spending time in reflection and prayer seems to launch my day in a positive direction, too!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could have morning all day!
ReplyDeleteYou've inspired me, Dot. Especially the need to sit still, reflect and think of all of my blessings. Jumping right into the newspaper or Internet is simply asking for a gloomy start to the day.
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th to you! Wow...it's been going on 4 days straight here!!
Jane
Podso,
ReplyDeleteI'm a "Morning kinda' Gal", too!
One of my favorites . . .His mercies are "fresh" every morning"!
Fondly,
Pat
