You can see Mary is on the donkey and on her way to Bethlehem to "get the baby Jesus."
And so the Greatest Story unfolds as
Little One tells it to me in detail.
She is learning the real reason for all this celebrating and gift-giving.
"And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over
their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory
of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel
said to them, “Do not be afraid.
I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you;
he is the Messiah, the Lord.
This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
--from Luke 2.
Many blessings to you this Christmas and always!

How precious! & how precious it must be to God when a child learns about Jesus! Our grandson tried to put Mary on the donkey too. Perhaps....just a thought someone else came up with...it might be, she rode in a wagon, since Joseph was a carpenter??? But the journey had to be rough which ever way it happened to be. We are putting the last touches of pick-up on the house...tomorrow our son arrives for a whole week. Can't wait. =) Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThis is what it's all about.
ReplyDeleteThere's no child to put the child in the creche on Christmas Eve this year, so our 24 year old 'youngest' will do the honours!
So perfect...
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas dear friend
