We went to a wedding in Greenville recently and
decided to stay overnight and visit the city park before heading home.
What an amazing park in the middle of the city.
You notice how the suspension bridge left one side free
for viewing the waterfall?
We walked and bench hopped and even found a swing to enjoy.
The morning was cool before the heat set in.
It was the tiniest of vacations, but as we all know,
Dotsie, what a lovely spot! The waterfall looks so refreshing. An oasis in the middle of a city. ♥
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty place to visit...I love the bridge. Looks like summer is in full force here! :)

What delight a few hours of relaxation and green space can give. So glad you could get away.
ReplyDeleteSo true about the tiny vacations. Just a lift to the spirit. This looks like a wonderful park, and a perfect spot for a short getaway.
ReplyDeleteTiny vacations are the best because they come without all the bother of a longer vacation!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, even a tiny vacation is refreshing. I enjoyed this walk with you. It is a pretty park with lovely flowers, water views and cute ducks. Have a happy day and week ahead!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea!! So much better to pause to relax and to soak in the lovely surroundings than to just hurry on to the next thing. I love that you even enjoyed a swing! :)
ReplyDeleteOvernight trips to unknown, interesting places are some of my favourite things to do.
ReplyDeleteI never underestimate the pleasure of a mini break!
Happy MM
That water looks cool and refreshing : )
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful park! It's so nice to have a place like that in the middle of a city. Mini vacas are always a good thing :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely park! Looks like it was filled with wonderful things to enjoy .. love the water (cool and refreshing), wildlife. Everything one would want on a "tiny" vacation! Good for you! Happy Monday!

Dotsie, Life is taking the opportunities that come our way to refresh our souls. Nature will do that and the parks fits the bill. Glad you enjoyed it. Sylvia D.
ReplyDeleteDid you decide before you left for the wedding or once you were there? If once you were there, that is amazing to me and very cool. Oh, no, it's cool either way.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful park to visit. I'm sure the locals get a lot of enjoyment out of it in the middle of the city. Beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful park especially the water cascading down the rocks!
ReplyDeleteI like the water cascading over the rocks in the first photo and the tour around the park as you saw it. Yes, even a tiny vacation can recharge the soul.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to Mosaic Monday Dotsie.
Podso, what a sweet vacation place, the park is just amazing! I could sit and watch that waterfall for hours on end! Wonderful shots, love each one!
ReplyDeleteHave a happy week!
Nancy
I never turn down a tiny vacation, Dotsie -- sometimes they're the best kind. :) You took some great pictures, and the park is certainly a nice one. This is probably a really dumb question, but did you go to Greenville, SC or Greenville, NC? I've never been to Greenville, North Carolina, but would like to visit sometime. I'm glad you enjoyed your outing. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great rest of the week!
Hugs,
Denise
As Denise says, I have never been to Greenville, not even North or South Carolina, so I enjoyed your photos. A very pretty place.
ReplyDeleteI love your little vacation.
ReplyDeleteI want to visit Charleston and Savannah and am trying to convince Steve we need a little getaway after all the hectic planning of our son's wedding.
It is so magical to be in a place like this right in the middle of a city
ReplyDeletePodso,
ReplyDeleteLife's simplest pleasures are always the most memorable!!!
Perfect timing and place for you mini~vacation!!!
Fondly,
Pat
Oh my goodness, what a delight! I am longing for vacation, just the joy of exploring and going somewhere new.
