This old girl has been around our house for a long time.
So long I don't remember where she came from but
she's been used for all kinds of things.
In all kinds of places.
Most recently to hold the TV.
I had left over paint from a project I did last year.
And decided it was time to get rid of the green, and since we
were moving all the wires, etc. it was time to get the box out from
under the cabinet. I didn't like the clutter.
And the finished project. Now the clutter
has been moved to the top! But at least I have worked
since this photo and hidden the wires.
I think this may be the last time I paint this little cabinet…
but … one never knows for sure ….
Oh Dotsie, those wires, those wires. You should see our den; it's enough to make me crazy. I may have to hire a decorator to advise me on what to do with all these wires.
ReplyDeleteI love the green that your cabinet used to be; it's just charming. However, the new color is so pretty, too. It looks a little dressier than the green. I didn't click on the link, but I think I remember that project from last year. Paint is a wonderful thing -- so much bang for the buck. Thanks for sharing, Dotsie, and have a great week!
Hugs,
Denise
I like the new paint on your cabinet, Dotsie. It looks like a really sturdy piece that has served you well over the years. It's nice to solve the wire issue as well. Have a nice evening. ♥
ReplyDeleteWhat a great cabinet! It's seen a lot of duty and in several colors, all of which looked great.
ReplyDeleteA hard-working and good-looking cabinet is a treasure. Oh, wires - how I wish we could hide them all!
ReplyDeleteGood looking piece in all its incarnations. If you ever find an answer for the wires, I'd love to read about it!
ReplyDeleteIt's the perfect little cabinet in all its color transformations. :)
ReplyDeleteLittle cabinets are always useful, they can be used foe many things and don't take up to much space.

I love those ever- changing versatile commodes....to think the bottom part used to house porcelain potties is amazing, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI have my mother's as a table between two twin beds in a guest bedroom - one of the few things I have of my mom's - and I absolutely love it.
Love your commode's new color - looks excellent!
It's one of those pieces of furniture which will always look good , whatever colour!
ReplyDeletePerfect color transition. Wires? Don't even go there. And the box under the stand? Same scenario here, sigh.
ReplyDeleteThe new paint suit the cabinet! Looking really pretty ♥
