Five Elements for a Girls' Teaparty

 1. Fancy teacups.
 2. Curled pinkies.
 3. An abundance of sugar cubes--even better with silver tongs.
 4. Sweets--homemade not necessary.
 5. Special guest Peter Rabbit who prefers a green snack.
When I arrived at my sister's house, where her four
granddaughters were visiting,
I saw little signs scattered here and there about a tea party.
Hint. Hint.
And so we had a grand one.

  30. Thank you for giving permission to use store bought sweets. I like sweets and when I bake, I could eat it all. If I buy at the bakery for a get together, I buy just enough so I don't have sweets calling my name from the kitchen.

  31. How fun! I love the pretty china and the curled up pinkies. I also will use store-bought sweets if I'm caught unprepared. My friends don't mind at all. :)

  35. How fun! The table was very charming and I had to laugh over the little hand with the curled pinkie! I can't wait to do this with my granddaughters. I used to buy little tea sets for my daughters, their interest in having tea parties didn't last long, however. Maybe I should have made it a bit more 'real for them as you and your sister did!

I am craving Milano cookies now!! ;-D

  36. I, too, am having a tea party this week, but for big girls. Unfortunately I can't serve store goodies, as the big girls are my cooking buddies. I couldn't get away with it.

  38. How much fun is this?! What a beautiful table setting and lovely teacups. I remember as a little girl there was a time when my mom used sugar cubes...you hardly see them being used that much anymore. They really add a special touch to a tea party table. And those delicious Pepperidge Farm cookies are one of my favorites!
