The weather outside has been strange. So warm that we've had to
mow the grass and I picked a dandelion on the
way to get Christmas cards out of the mailbox.
But a cold spell arrived suddenly and it dropped to the 20s. Delightful, but
we hear it won't last and are expecting a warm Christmas.
I had to go outside to feel it for real
as we waited for our dinner guests to arrive.

Loving window views as I do, I took a look inside my own windows,
and into the snowman's world as I lit the candles for dinner.
Earlier in the week "Littlest One" came for a day
and loved exploring all of Grandma's Christmas stuff that she's too
young to remember from last year. She's so into pink right

now that before her nap we had a little pink ice-cream.
Hello, your granddaughter is just adorable. Cute mosaic. Our weather is much the same here, we are expecting a warm Christmas. Lovely post. Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteOh the littlest one is a doll and I love the table setting. No snow here and warm weather returning after a couple days in the low 30s....who would have thought that we would have no snow for so long. Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteDotsie, the photo of your wee granddaughter with the ornament is just darling. :-) I also enjoyed the window shots and those with candles. We're enjoying our rare snowless December 21. I'm sure this won't last too much longer. Have a wonderful and merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI love looking into houses through windows, so your photo was a real treat for me. We are having the same kind of weather up this way. It felt bitter cold this weekend after our balmy week. Finding a dandelion is indeed strange this time of year. Perhaps we are being prepared to expect the unexpected from now on.
ReplyDeleteOh my, littlest one isn't so little any more, is she? Adorable, and I'm happy she likes pink because it's so girlie. Love the reflection in the Christmas ball which is our photography glass prompt this week - to bring a human touch to our photos and this is the perfect example.
ReplyDeleteChristmas Day is my favourite for window peeking as I walk our dog early in the morning. I see such happiness around the tree in most homes and then it's back to ours for hubby and I to open our gifts over coffee.
Merry Christmas.
I'm right there with you on this weather thing...it's crazy! I do lve your window views...everyhting certainly looks beautiful and festive. What a cutie pie that little one is...LOVED that last photo so much! Merry Christmas, Dotsie!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely views from the outside in, Dotsie. Your dining table looks inviting. I'm sure your guests were delighted. The photo of your grand and the Christmas ball is adorable! Merry Christmas, my friend! ♥
ReplyDeleteYour Littlest One is certainly enjoying gazing at all the lovely things.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you! How wonderful to spend time with your granddaughter at Christmas! The photos of Harare so sweet.
ReplyDeleteI met a friend for a late breakfast in town yesterday. I only needed a light rain coat as it was raining. So very different for this area. Love the photos of Littlest One! And, looking into your dining room. Wishing you a very merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie

ReplyDeleteMerry, merry Christmas to you and yours, dear friend! Isn't it amazing that He came?!
At least you can't be called a peeping tom looking into your own windows. ha! Love the photo of little one looking at herself in the ornament. So cute! Merry Christmas!
