Pool Jeans

Four of us girl cousins journeyed from afar and spent a wonderful weekend together here in my town. Since we had previously done a lot of talking about our childhood and family roots, this visit we enjoyed "hanging out" and getting to know each other better as adult women. My mother joined in and added life from her octagenarian point of view. It was a memory-making time. It's always interesting to see visible demonstrations of the gene pool we share. Not only in the way we do things,
the way we think, our looks, but also demonstrated in the purses
most of us chose to carry--at least for this weekend!

Comparing quirks and preferences is an amusing pastime for family members separated by years and miles. Are we the only 4 people in the world who like those silly orange circus peanuts? or candy corn? My dad used to hide the peanuts in the closet so we wouldn't find them and eat them before he got a chance. We knew the hiding places - the trick was to eat them slowly so he wouldn't notice! Hiding candy in closets did not originate with our dad either. Grandmother had her hiding places, too. (Smile)

It was easy to be together this weekend because even though we hadn't been together much until recently, we speak the same memories, we like many of the same things, think many of the same thoughts. And, yes, have similar tastes in bags...
