We thought celebrating 45 years of marriage was a good reason
to slip away for a couple of days to sit by the sea,
reading and resting, and contemplating our life together.

Both while there and on the way to and fro, we
found ourselves looking up a lot. The clouds have been amazing
and my feeble attempts to photograph them don't do justice to their majesty.
We need rain. The storm clouds hover and try.

ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary to you both! How wonderful to get away together and celebrate the years. I, too, have been noticing the clouds. Seldom do they produce any rain that we truly need. Except for Louisiana and Texas, the rest of us have been too dry.

I hope you get some rain, but not too much, and enjoy the rest of the summer with all its special joys and beauty, not the least of which is a few days at the shore.

ReplyDeleteI missed this post last week! What amazing skies and very lovely and unique mosaics. Yes, I'd say a trip to the shore would be an awesome way to celebrate 45 years together or anything else for that matter! I do a lot of looking up myself...the ever-changing skies mesmerize me. It won't be long before I hear that beckoning roar of the ocean, two weeks to be precise! My sis is coming from Ohio and just us girls will "beachin' it" on my birthday! Happy Anniversary again and may you and your Gardener have many, many years together!
