Yes, chocolate. Ganache, actually.
When I had lunch at a friend's house and she served this dessert,
I just had to try it. She had purchased the ganache but
I thought I would try making it.
I googled it, of course, and found and adapted a Martha S. recipe.
So easy it was done in a few minutes. I lightly sprayed a small pie plate.
Brought one cup of heavy cream just to a boil over medium high heat.
Then poured that over a package of semi sweet chocolate chips,
added a dash of kosher salt and about 1/4-1/2 tsp vanilla and let it sit.
After ten minutes I stirred it gently until it had turned to shiny chocolate,
poured it in the pan and wrapped it well in the freezer once it had cooled.
It turned out perfectly, to my standards.
Just a little dab will do you.
It slowly starts to melt and intertwine with the fruit.
